How was ROTEO born? The MUSA restaurant takes its name from the combination of Robert and Matteo's names, and is symbolic of this friendship. The two MUSA Executive Directors' & Chefs share a passion for hospitality and travel, and are both driven by their eagerness to improve themselves more and more, through the motto "to think outside of the box".

After his hotel training side by side with Matteo, he continued his professional career in England, working for a 5-star Country Club hotel, then moved on to Dubai at the prestigious BVLGARI Hotel & Residences working with the pre-opening team. Later, he returned to London to work at the iconic Connaught Hotel in the 3 Michelin star restaurant. Finally arriving at MUSA, in Italy, together with his longtime friend, Matteo.

Matteo Corridori

After finishing hotelier school with Robert, he left for England to follow an internship abroad which later became a job at Stoke Park a 5-star hotel not far from London. Back in Italy, he founded his own company of private chefs while simultaneously teaching. He flew back to London to work with the famous Michelin-starred London chef Marcus Wareing, until he started the Musa project in his homeland with Robert.

  • Michelin Star in the making!
    First night at the Hotel Musa and we wanted something close by so we ate at Roteo. I am not usually a fan of tasting menus, being a finicky eater, but the food was exceptional without being fussy. Each dish was creative and full of flavor right down to the phenomenal dessert. The staff was young, professional, playful and knew the food well, and were willing to substitute items if they did not work for the guest. The restaurant atmosphere was warm and lively, without being loud, and very comfortable with direct views of the lake. Another plus was the advantage of a full bar, and these guys could make great drinks; if you have traveled Italy, and Europe in general, you know bars are not usually good at creative cocktails. This was a great experience!

  • Thank you for a wonderful dinner and an incredible experience. The food was amazingly interesting and tasty, and the staff was even better. This was our best meal in Italy and our best restaurant evening in a long time. Try this place before it becomes too popular. And... get there early and have a drink on their beautiful terrace overlooking Lake Como. Simply amazing!

  • Great food, impeccable service and fantastic scenery. I specially like to mention the sommelier: a young and enthusiastic guy with great knowledge. We started (cocktails!) and ended (Italian coffee with some sweet surprises) on the terrace that has beautiful lake views. In between we sat in the beautiful dinner room which has a comfortable temperature due to the airco. expect a bill according to the high level of service and what appears on the plate and in the glass. We thought it was worth every euro! Thanks again to the staff.

  • Absolutely fantastic - not to be missed
    From the moment we arrived, the experience was wonderful. The decor is elegant, no expense spared. We had an aperitivo in the bar garden, a must as the view of the Island and Sala Comacina is breathtaking, especially as the evening draws in. The meal was fantastic and we were well looked after by Andre and his team. A very special touch is Mateo (one of the lead chefs) came out to welcome us and describe the amuse bouche and primi special which was fabulous- spaghetti with parmesan sauce and while truffle. From start to finish was delicious and a delightful experience. We will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone. Thank you.
